  • The Compass is available in four trims: Sport Plus, Longitude Option, Limited Plus, and Night Eagle.

  • The Trailhawk is a more off road-centric version of the Compass and gets maximum savings this month.

  • Jeep is expected to launch the facelifted Compass by the end of January 2021.

It’s the last month of 2020, and while we can’t wait to put this stressful year behind us, Jeep has decided to end the year with some good news. The Compass is accompanied with massive discounts as part of Jeep’s year-end offers.

The Compass, which is available in five trims, including the Trailhawk, is offered with discounts of up to Rs 2 lakh. The Sport Plus, Longitude Option, Limited Plus, and Night Eagle, are all eligible for savings of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The Trailhawk, on the other hand, gets benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Under the hood, the Compass is offered with two powertrains: a 163PS 1.4-litre petrol engine and a 170PS 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT whereas the diesel engine gets the option of a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox that comes exclusively with a 4x4 drivetrain. The off-road oriented Trailhawk comes with a slightly more powerful 173PS 2.0-litre diesel engine with power sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Currently, the Compass is priced from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 24.99 lakh and the Trailhawk from Rs 26.80 lakh to Rs 27.60 lakh (ex-showroom). However, Jeep is all set to launch the facelifted Compass next year. Word from dealers is that the 2021 Compass can arrive as soon as the end of January 2021.

Note: Buying a MY2020 model at this time of the year will affect its resale value going forth, so please keep that in mind if you plan to sell it in the next 3 to 4 years.
